It has been a long road to be where we are. A lot of research is done and many different tests is carried out. Here are som highlight from the company and the founder Odd Lindahl.
It all started as an enviromental project. Odd Lindhal investigated blue musselsfarms as base for extracting nutrients from the sea, such as the phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N). After successfully proven to do this the question of what to do with all the wast from the blue mussle industry. For exampel all the mussels that were to small for the food industry. The thougt about animal food started to grow.

The household society carried out a series of cultivation experiments to investigate the supply of nutrients and the liming effect when residual mussels (meat and shells) were added to agricultural land. The results were clearly positive and several farms on Orust have over the years received residual mussels.

After all research the possibilitys were huge. But where to start? Is it for human food, animal feed or as a taste enhancer. Different tests on animal feed and food competitions took place. It worked everywere! To meet all demands the idea of three different qualitys was developed. Feed, food and taste qualitys with different characterisics.
